Abstract
Achieving optimal patient accrual numbers for adult oncology clinical trials has been an ongoing problem in cancer care. As advanced practitioners (APs), some of our patients are enrolled in trials, but the number is not as high as we would expect it to be. One statistic says that less than 5% of adults with cancer participate in clinical trials. But what are the barriers to participation? And what can we do to help dispel the myths about clinical trials and encourage patient enrollment?
