The US Preventive Services Task Force recently issued a recommendation that health-care providers routinely screen of all women patients for intimate partner violence (IPV). A staggering 75% of women under treatment for breast, ovarian, endometrial, or ovarian cancer report having experienced some form of IPV during their adult lives.
